Erg Chegaga (or Chigaga) is one of the two large ergs of the Sahara in Morocco, the other being Erg Chebbi.

This dune massif located in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region, is located approximately 50 km west of the rural commune of M’Hamid El Ghizlane, itself located approximately 98 km south of the town of Zagora .

With a length of approximately 40 km and a width of 15 km, this erg, with some dunes reaching a height of 300 m (170 m for Erg Chebbi), is the largest and wildest in Morocco.

The difficulties of the terrain mean that it is only accessible by 4×4, on camel or on foot. Erg Chigaga is therefore less frequented than erg Chebbi.
